Hey there, Honeys!
It’s Day 10 of the Diamine Inkvent Calendar, and today’s ink is Fire Embers. Let me tell you, this one is a stunner—a warm, orange-red that feels like sitting by a crackling fire with a cozy blanket. If I could get this as a full bottle, it would absolutely be on my desk. Alas, these advent colours are a one-and-done for their respective years.
Today’s Colour: Fire Embers
This ink is as cozy as its name suggests, blending fiery orange and red tones to perfection. It’s vibrant without being overwhelming and manages to feel both festive and versatile.
Testing the Ink
- Dominant Industry Ink Muddler (glass nib): Smooth, clean lines with great consistency. The shimmer-free formula ensures the glass nib captures its vibrancy beautifully.
- Sailor Hocoro (medium nib): The medium nib really brought out the warmth of this colour, laying down a balanced and cozy tone. It’s so consistent, I could write with this all day.
- Kakimori brass nib: Pure joy. The Kakimori made Fire Embers shine, with richer saturation and a slight deepening of the hue. It’s always a treat when the thicker nib brings out the best in an ink like this.
Final Thoughts
Fire Embers is a standout so far. It’s warm, inviting, and perfectly festive—a true “feel-good” colour. This one’s right at the top of my favourites list, and we’re not even halfway through the calendar yet! If only Diamine would bring this one back for a full release…
Thanks for joining me for today’s warm and toasty adventure, Honeys. Check out the video below for a closer look at how this ink performs across all three nibs. See you tomorrow for Day 11—what surprises will the calendar bring next?
Cheers,
Your ink enthusiast dreaming of endless bottles of Fire Embers!
