Hey Honeys!

Day 25 has arrived, and it’s the final day of the Advent Calendar — Happy Holidays is here. But honestly, this one’s just… blue. Straight up blue. Sure, it has a bit of shimmer and a slight purple undertone, but after all the exciting and unique shades we’ve explored, this feels a little flat for the big finale.

Today’s Colour: Happy Holidays
This is a classic blue ink, nothing too fancy. There’s a shimmer in there, but it doesn’t really shine as much as I was hoping. The colour itself is nice — a smooth blue, with just a hint of purple if you look closely. But after the wild ride of other colours in the calendar, I can’t help but feel a little let down by how basic this one is for Christmas Day.

Testing the Ink
Dominant Industry Ink Muddler (glass nib): The Muddler worked well, laying down a smooth line of blue. There was no skipping or issues with flow, and the shimmer added a nice touch. Overall, it was just a solid, dependable performance.

Sailor Hocoro (medium nib): The medium nib gave a nice, consistent line with the ink. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but it worked well. The colour is very wearable, and the shimmer was there, though not as dramatic as some of the others we’ve seen this month.

Kakimori brass nib: The Kakimori brought out the shimmer and gave a full-bodied line, just like it always does. This nib is always a winner when it comes to bringing out the best in an ink, and Happy Holidays didn’t disappoint here either.

Final Thoughts
While this ink isn’t bad by any means, it just didn’t pack the punch I was expecting for Day 25. It’s a solid, dependable blue, and if you love blues, you’ll enjoy this one, but I was hoping for something with a little more wow factor. That being said, it’s still a good ink to have in your collection, and it’s a great colour for everyday use. Plus, the 30ml bottle is a lovely bonus to end the advent calendar with!
